That really depends on the Toyota model you decide to rent! 4x4 vehicles like the Toyota RAV4, Land Cruiser, and Proace are suitable for dirt trails and F-roads, which means that you’ll be able to reach even the most remote corners of Iceland! On the other hand, the Toyota Aygo is a city car, so you’ll be limited to urban areas and their surroundings.

Please note that you may encounter rivers when going down dirt trails and F-roads but we do NOT recommend crossing them, as the rental car insurance does not cover any damage caused while doing so.

The fact is that the RAV4 and the Land Cruiser are very similar, so choosing between them can be quite a hard decision to make: the Land Cruiser is bigger, more spacious, more powerful and thus more costly; while the RAV4 offers a decent balance of power and functionality at a more economical price.
