The cost of charging an electric vehicle (EV) in Iceland varies depending on the type of charger and the location.
There are two main types of charging stations in Iceland: fast-charging stations and slow-charging stations. Fast-charging stations can fully charge your car in about 20 minutes, while slow-charging stations can take several hours. You can find a map of charging stations in Iceland on the website of the Icelandic Road and Transport Authority.
If you run out of battery, you can call your rental company and they will send a tow truck to take you to the nearest charging station. You will not be charged for this service.
