WHY RENT A KIA IN ICELAND?

Fly around Reykjavik or the Ring Road in the KIA Ceed Sportswagon and the Rio or crown every mountain with the renowned KIA 4x4 SUVs Sorento and Sportage. Want to keep things eco-friendly and go hybrid? The KIA Niro is your ride. Never tried a KIA before and not sure why to take the leap? Let’s take an in-depth look at what they have to offer:

  • Power-Packed Performance. Remember Duracell’s motto ‘No other battery looks like it. No other battery lasts like it’? Well, change ‘battery’ for ‘car’ and you’ll be telling the truth about your Iceland KIA rental. These vehicles are made to withstand the test of time without breaking down and have improved mileage alongside reduced CO2 emissions. Why not try the KIA Sportage in Iceland and see for yourself?

  • Advanced Technology. KIA has developed the state-of-the-art UVO (Your Voice) technology, allowing you to record where you park your vehicle, send points of interest to the vehicle’s GPS from your phone and even monitor movement in the car once you lock it (just in case you forget the baby or a bird sneaked in). Bring all your favorite cell phone apps and ‘play that funky music’ every step of the way!

  • Safety. KIA is a safe bet when it comes to looking out for your wellbeing and that of your family and friends! The whole KIA fleet comes with advanced safety features such as hill start assist, multiple airbags and crumple zones in the rear and front. On top of that, the higher range KIA Sportage & Sorento incorporate specially designed rollover sensors, active front head restraints and stability control. Don’t worry, just drive!

  • Reasonable Price. The KIA brand is totally underrated, which actually plays in your favor since you’ll be getting more for your money! Look at it this way… Would you rather spend half of your budget on a brand name or spend all of it on performance and vehicle features? The brand’s fleet’s sturdiness against harsh weather conditions and their high safety rating allow us to offer you our top KIA models in Iceland like the Sorento or Sportage for a very modest price!

So far we’ve been talking about just how amazing the KIA is, but now that you’re all hyped about it you probably want to see if it’s all true, right? Well, take a look at this KIA Ceed in Iceland staring bad weather in the face and making short work of the island’s snowy terrain!

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? You’re in luck! We’ve already provided answers to the most common questions regarding car rentals in Iceland.

The best locations to rent a Hyundai in Iceland are our Reykjavik and Keflavik International Airport offices.

Our pick-up and drop-off services are available 365 days a year. Fill in all the required information when you complete your booking and we’ll take you to your rental vehicle in a jiffy!

We have the KIA Rio, Ceed, Niro, Sportage and Sorento for you to choose from! The Rio, Ceed and Niro are great compact city cars, while the Sportage and Sorento are a common pick for 4x4 rentals in Iceland.

Thinking of touring Reykjavik and its surroundings, or maybe going on a summer drive down the Ring Road? The KIA Rio, Ceed and Niro are all you need!

Have you always wanted to discover Iceland’s most remote treasures, go down every path and crown every mountain? The KIA Sportage and Sorento are what you want!

Just think carefully about where you want to go during your stay in Iceland and choose the right KIA rental for you!

Renting the small and nippy KIA Rio in Iceland for 1 week will cost you around $371 ($53 per day), while 7 days in the larger KIA Sportage 4x4 will cost you $714 ($102 per day). This may vary depending on the season.

You can choose from a wide range of essentials you might need during your trip: multiple types of insurance, extra driver, roof box, baby seat, Wi-Fi, GPS… You name it, we’ve got it!

That really depends on the model you decide to rent! The KIA Sorento and Sportage are both suitable for dirt trails and F-roads, granting you access to the most inaccessible areas of Iceland! On the other hand, the KIA Rio, Ceed and Niro are City cars, so you’ll be limited to urban areas and their surroundings.

Please note that you may encounter rivers when going down dirt trails and F-roads but we do NOT recommend crossing them, as the rental car insurance does not cover any damage caused while doing so.

The KIA Rio and the Opel Corsa are both City cars and have very similar features, which explains why deciding between them is no easy task!

Let’s take a closer look and see what each vehicle brings to the table: although they both have engines of the same size, the KIA Rio’s output is slightly higher, giving it a bit more power and torque than the Corsa. On top of that, KIA takes 1st place in terms of low fuel consumption!

The Rio stands out for its 325 liters of luggage space vs. the Corsa’s 309 liters, but the Corsa does have all-round airbags and additional standard features to make up for it.

At the end of the day, both vehicles are excellent travel companions for your Icelandic adventure and are guaranteed to serve you well from the very start. Now, if you are still in doubt, let’s see how much each one will hurt your pocket: you can hire the Rio for $53 per day against a daily $126 for the Corsa. The final choice is yours and it’s all about priorities, so sleep on it and secure your Iceland rental vehicle when you wake up!
