You’ll need a credit card to cover any extra costs, such as fines for traffic offenses, vehicle damage, fuel and any other costs directly related to the use of the car. At the start of the rental, we will save your credit card information in order to cover these costs.
Yes, in most cases you do! The amount is equivalent to the insurance policy’s franchise, i.e., for the basic CDW insurance it comes to 350,000 ISK.
If you want to modify your booking, please send us an email to info@reykjavikcars.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
No, we cannot. However, should the chosen vehicle not be available, we will offer you a vehicle from the same or a higher category.

If you cancel your rental agreement more than 2 days before its start date, you will receive a complete refund.
If you cancel less than 2 days from the start date, you won’t be eligible for a refund. The same applies if you do not collect your vehicle (No Show). You can check our Terms & Conditions or send an email to info@reykjavikcars.com should you wish to cancel or modify your reservation.
